This week brought two things sellers have been waiting for: real transparency from Amazon and actual tariff relief from Washington.
Amazon finally launched their Fee Explainer tool—no more guessing why you got charged what you did. And Trump struck trade deals that cut tariffs with Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Not earth-shattering, but real money back in your pocket.
Plus, I'll show you how AI managed to double an Amazon Sellers PPC revenue in 30 days while dropping ROAS by 10%. Check out the results yourself.
AI Doubled This Seller's PPC Revenue in 30 Days
I watched Julian Timings from Autron demonstrate their AI PPC system live. The results were impressive:
Before AI: $13K weekly ad revenue, 20-25% ACOS After 30 days: $30K+ weekly ad revenue, 15% ACOS
The system executed over 70,000 bid adjustments automatically, saving 198 hours of manual work. It runs 24/7, making micro-optimizations that humans simply can't match—we're talking 200,000+ actions per week.
The setup is straightforward: Connect your account, set your goals (like "Max Sales with 15% ACOS"), and let it run. No spreadsheets, no constant monitoring.
What impressed me most was the fee structure—they only get paid when their AI drives sales, not on your ad spend. Their incentives align with yours.

Amazon launched a new "Fee Explainer" tool that breaks down exactly how they calculate every fee on your account. You can access it directly from transaction details in your Payments dashboard.

Here's what it covers:
Subscription, referral, and closing fees with actual calculations
Refund administration and return processing costs
Removal and disposal fee breakdowns
Clear definitions of what triggers each fee type
Amazon says they'll add more fee types throughout the year. This came after years of seller complaints about opaque pricing.
Bottom line: Use this to audit your fees and catch any mistakes. Amazon's not perfect at math, and now you can actually verify their work.
Three new trade agreements brought tariff relief this week:
Japan: 15% tariff rate (down from the threatened 25%) Philippines & Indonesia: 19% each

The deals include market access improvements—Japan committed to importing more US goods, while Indonesia agreed to drop export restrictions on critical minerals and eliminate 99% of their tariff barriers on American products.
These aren't massive wins, but they're real cost reductions if you source from these countries. The agreements are part of Trump's broader Asia strategy ahead of the August 1 deadline.
Bottom line: If you source from Japan, Philippines, or Indonesia, your landed costs just got more predictable. Review your supplier agreements and lock in these savings.

Amazon extended Prime Day to four days this year, thinking more time meant more sales. Instead, it gave shoppers more time to comparison shop—and many went to Walmart.

Walmart ran their own deals event (July 8-13) that overlapped with Prime Day. The key difference: Walmart's deals were open to everyone, while Amazon's required Prime membership.
With inflation still hitting wallets, shoppers became more price-conscious and willing to switch platforms for better deals. Amazon's longer event backfired by encouraging the very behavior they wanted to prevent.
Bottom line: Don't assume platform loyalty exists anymore. Price-conscious customers will shop around, even during exclusive events.
