Amazon just dropped a bomb.
We're getting a second Prime Day event scheduled for October 8-9, 2025. This is a major opportunity for sellers to kick off Q4.

The focus will be on holiday gift categories and home improvement. There will be enhanced Lightning Deals with 48-hour time slots instead of the usual shorter windows. Amazon is also expanding international participation to 20 countries.
Takeaway: This is an unexpected October Prime Day. You're getting a second chance to take advantage of Amazon's marketing push, and this is Amazon's attempt to get Q4 shoppers started even earlier. Make sure you don't miss out.
Amazon is making major FBA fee changes starting in Q4, and these changes hit in less than a month on October 1st.

Here's what's changing: Storage fees are reduced by 15% for standard-size items. Fulfillment fees are increasing by 8% on oversized items. There's a new peak season surcharge of 35 cents per unit in November and December. The good news is removal fees are being eliminated for products under $10.
Takeaway: Sellers should definitely audit their product mix and plan for higher costs during Q4 peak season. If you're selling oversized items, consider alternative fulfillment and 3PL storage to reduce costs.
For those of you selling in Europe, the EU is extending China tariff exemptions through 2026. The key categories exempted include electronics, textiles, and consumer goods. An estimated $12 billion in trade value is affected.

The condition is that China must comply with trade agreements. The next review is scheduled for mid-2026.
Takeaway: This could be a good opportunity for sellers sourcing from China to expand and scale in Europe to bypass the tariffs.
