80/20 of Ecom - What’s Changing in Ecom This Month: June Briefing (Things you need to know!) 6/4/25
New Amazon policy, AI tools for sellers, and a tactical challenge to cut costs fast.
Hey there,
It’s only the first week of June, and major shifts are already hitting ecommerce. Amazon is rolling out FBA fee changes tied to shipment data accuracy. Smart sellers aren’t waiting.
Ritu Java’s live AI workshop shows how lean teams can automate operations fast. And with the 14-Day Tariff Profitability Challenge reopening, now’s the time to cut costs and lock in your advantage for the next quarter.
Let’s break it all down in this week’s 80/20 of Ecom 👇

Effective June 12, 2025, Amazon will begin charging or crediting sellers using Amazon Partnered Carriers if there's a mismatch between the shipment details sellers provide and what the carrier records. That means your FBA costs could shift — for better or worse — based on your accuracy.
This isn’t a new fee, but it is a new policy that adjusts existing ones. Sellers who overestimate dimensions may see refunds — but underestimates will lead to surprise charges.
🔍 Discrepancies will appear in your Inbound Performance dashboard.
📏 You’re responsible for ensuring accurate weights and dimensions.
⚖️ Fee adjustments will apply to both Small Parcel and LTL shipments.
📌 Key Takeaways for Amazon Sellers:
Policy Starts June 12, 2025 – Any mismatched data will lead to fee adjustments.
Accurate Data = Cost Control – Mistakes could cost you as much as the original shipping fee.
You Can Edit Amazon’s Pre-Populated Fields – Always double-check what Amazon suggests.
Check Your Dashboard – The Inbound Performance dashboard is your new best friend for monitoring discrepancies.
Profitability at Risk – Unexpected fees could eat into your FBA margins fast — especially on high-volume shipments.
🛠️ Pro Tip:
Set a recurring internal review of box weights/dimensions, and use calibrated scales and rulers to minimize risk.
I'm excited to highlight Ritu Java, who's one of the sharp minds in the Amazon and ecommerce selling world.
Not only is she a past champion of our AI for Amazon Sellers Hackathon, Ritu also runs a leading PPC agency and—something not many people know—is fluent in Japanese.
Ritu personally helped me launch one of my products on Amazon Japan. We reached the #1 ranking for our Japanese keyword on Amazon Japan. She even helped me localize the listings.
This week, I’m personally excited that Ritu is hosting a live AI workshop on creating workflows and automations using Make.com.
🛠️ This is for you if:
You’ve already learned the basics of ChatGPT
You want to go beyond prompts and into workflows, automations, and agents for your Amazon business
In the past, large brands needed 10–20 people to manage operations. Today, if you understand AI workflows, you can do the same work with 1–2 people.
Ritu has spent over 200 hours applying these exact tactics to her business and her clients'—and she’s going to show you how.
Built for Managers, Not Engineers
AI isn’t just for developers. The AI Report gives business leaders daily, practical insights you can apply to ops, sales, marketing, and strategy.

Start where it counts.
Everyone is sick and tired of hearing about tariffs. I am too.
But the reality is, we’re still in the middle of this. And after these 90 days? No one knows how much tariffs might rebound.
That’s why I’m reopening access to the 14-Day Tariff Profitability Challenge—so you can unlock profitability strategies for your Amazon business and stay ahead.
In this challenge, you’ll learn:
Minimize and reduce tariffs to save $100,000s on a 7- or 8-figure business
Improve your business’s cash flow by recovering lost margins
Boost profitability with little-known tactics used by top sellers
Price your products to protect margins without hurting sales
Shift sourcing away from China to Mexico, Latin America, India, Thailand, and more
Daily reminders to keep you focused and accountable throughout the challenge
We also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you take the challenge, do the work, and don't get at least 10x ROI, we'll refund you 100% plus give you a $50 Amazon gift card.
Here's the thing about the 80/20 principle: 80% of sellers are not doing anything or just trying to wait this out. Some are even continuing to place orders like nothing's happening.
But if you really want to succeed this year on Amazon, you have to do things differently than before.
